Backend Operations Manager

Job description

• Organizational and technical responsibility for Backend Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in the field of IC Bumping, Testing, Pre-assembly, and Assembly
• Responsible for the production and on-time deliveries of daily Backend operations
• Backend capacity management, at EM Marin, EM Bangkok, including long-term investment plans
• Globally responsible for Backend engineering, support the product roadmap from a technical capability standpoint and drive the implementation internally and externally. Permanently ensure the internal and external technical capabilities match EM’s backend needs.
• Responsible for the achievement of short- and long-term financial and operational goals of the own division including annual budgeting and planning as well as CAPEX management
• Define operational KPI targets, monitoring and reporting
• Leading Operational Excellence, Quality Management, Documentation Management, Change Management, Project Management and Continuous Improvement Programs in the Backend
• Initiate and drive new technological opportunities for the Backend to maintain competitiveness, including technology, capacity investments and external partnerships

Profile

• Higher Engineering degree in electronics of other relevant field
• Highly analytical, strong leadership and excellent communicator
• High sense of ownership and accountability, with ability to get things done across organizational boundaries
• Strategic thinker combining short-, mid- and long-term aspects
• Motivator, very good team player and example for peers and subordinates
• Open minded, approachable, inspiring, good at managing remote / virtual teams
• Fluent in English and French
• 10 years in the semiconductor business with relevant management experience in either Operations or Engineering, preferably in IC Backend
• Proven track record in driving multi-million dollars capacity investment plans
